Installing Joomla on your computer using XAMPP
Joomla runs on a web server, so to work on a Joomla site totally on your computer, you will need to install a web server on your own computer.  If you use Windows, you will use xampp or wamp.  On a Mac, you will use MAMP.  On Linux, you will use LAMP.    These videos show you how to install Joomla on your own computer using one of these tools.
