How to keep long URLs in RSS feeds from breaking your layout

PDF | Print | E-mail

Using RSS newsfeeds to bring content into your website is a great way to offer your site viewers more information.  I do use newsfeeds on this site to make it easy to keep track of other Joomla sites and blogs.

But, there is a problem.  If the other site uses a long URL, the Joomla newsfeed component will bring that long URL in to your site, potentially breaking your site layout on that page.

Barry North over at Compass Designs has a simple solution to this.  One easy line added to your site's CSS and you are done!   Here is the link to this simple fix.  Be sure to read Barry's other articles as well.
