Let's say that you let other people submit articles to your website.  Great, that encourages the development of a community and encourages many people to get involved.

But, the default Joomla "Submit content" component doesn't notify you that a new article has been submitted.  It does put a "private message" in the Joomla admin site telling you there is a new article, but if you don't go there to check it, you will never know.

What you want is for  your site to send you an e-mail whenever someone submits an article.

So, what's the solution?

There are some very nice replacement components, however, that will do this (and I use them).

First of all, there is ja_submit - this will send an email to whatever address you specify notifying them of the new content

Now, ninja submit is also based on ja_submit, but it has only an intro section and is a very streamlined.
